Elizabeth Woolridge Grant, who goes by the professional moniker Lana Del Rey, is a singer and songwriter from the US. She is a New York City native, and was born in June 1985.

The singer began her career in 2005, and broke into the industry with her 2011 single “Video Games”. She released her self-named debut album in 2010.

Lana’s career has earned her various significant accolades. She received her first Grammy nomination in 2014. At the event, she was nominated in two categories “Best Pop Vocal Album” for her EP “Paradise” and “Best Song Written for Visual Media” for her song “Young and Beautiful”. She lost both nominations, with Adele claiming the latter award for her song “Skyfall“.
