Slipknot

This popular heavy metal collective has its roots in the US state of Iowa. The group officially began in 1995, and it was created by three musicians, Joey Jordison, Shawn Crahan, and Paul Gray.

Since its inception, Slipknot has had various different members. As of the time of writing, Crahan is the only founding member left in the group’s lineup. Below are the other members that makeup this collective:

In June 1999, the group released a self-named album as their maiden project. In 2019 they came out with one of their biggest projects titled “We Are Not Your Kind”. This project serves as their sixth studio offering, and it peaked at #1 in the US and several regions such the UK.

Between 2001 and 2016 Slipknot received 10 nominations at the Grammys. They won only one out of these nominations, and this was in 2006 when their song “Before I Forget” took home the “Best Metal Performance” award.
