The National

The National is primarily a US rock collective, which was created in New York City. The band, which started in 1999, was founded by the musicians named below:

  • Aaron Dessner
  • Bryce Dessner
  • Matt Berninger
  • Bryan Devendorf
  • Scott Devendorf

Their first official project, as a group, was a self-named album, which they released in October 2001. The National’s second project is entitled “Sad Songs for Dirty Lovers”, and it dropped in September 2003.

“Sleep Well Beast” is the name of their seventh studio album, and one of their most successful projects. This record, which hit the airways in 2107, reached number 1 in the UK and peaked in the US at number 2.
